You do not need previous delivery experience to drive for Rotary. Training is paid and happens in stages: classroom training, supported days on the road with an experienced driver, then your own routes with the support team behind you.

Before training begins we complete the required checks: your driving licence, your right to work in the UK, and criminal-record and drug and alcohol screening. Rotary pays for the criminal-record and drug and alcohol checks. See the driver guide for the full requirements.
Training starts in the classroom and is paid. It covers the standards every driver works to each day:
After the classroom you complete supported ride-along training with an experienced driver. This is where classroom learning meets real routes: you see how a working day runs, from loading to deliveries, before you take a route on your own.
Training prepares you to organise your own work: you follow your planned and sequenced route, apply the delivery procedures at every stop and stay in contact with the support team if anything changes. For a full picture of the day, read a day as a delivery driver in Cardiff.
Support does not stop when training ends. Management and Lead Drivers are available while you are out on the road, and as your confidence grows there are opportunities to move into Lead Driver or operational support roles.
